Winners

Winners of the Drawing at our Grand Opening

The Grand Opening was a great success and everyone seemed to enjoy the day. The weather was just about perfect, the live music was nice, and the food was nice.

We had about 50 people come by and most left with some daylilies! Since then, we have had a simple flow of new customers come by – most of whom just followed our yard signs. Considering our remote location, that is pretty good.

Thanks to everyone who came by and to everyone who helped make the day so successful.

Now, the winners were….. (drum roll, please….)

Third Place (mouse pad with one of our daylilies pictured)

Mouse Pad

  • Susie Allshouse
  • Ruby LaBorde

Second Place (coffee mug with two of our daylilies pictured)

Coffee Mug

  • Margie Evans
  • Judy Rester

And, our First Place prize (most expensive plant on the property, Hemerocallis ‘Long Jacket’) went to…

200, Long Jacket

  • Ellie Scioneaux

Congratulations to all our winners and to those who took advantage of the special pricing that we offered. I trust that your daylilies are already in the ground and will be blooming soon!

Springtime is Daylily Time!

FDV 383

Bloomtime!

Springtime is such an exciting time at Fleurs de Viv! Each morning, I can hardly wait to go outside and see all the new blooms.

I will be publishing bloom photos of all of the NEW plants as they begin to bloom. Each article on the social media sites will include a short description and the photo. Click through to the website to view the entire post.

Everyday now, we have 6-8 new daylily varieties (all Extra Early) come into bloom! Since I bought out another breeder’s stock last year, I have not seen any of these early plants in bloom – so it is extra exciting! The hard work is entering all the data into the website and preparing for sale.

If you are reading on Facebook, be sure to LIKE and FOLLOW our page (https://facebook.com/fleursdeviv). Same for Google+ (https://plus.google.com/u/1/107888632461917593364) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/FleursDeViv/).

But the best option is to subscribe to our website (https://fleursdeviv.com). The option is in the sidebar (or at the bottom on mobile devices.) You will receive an email with a link each time we post an article or photo. Easy!

Until next time,

Ray

BTW, the flower is “FDV Pure Passion”, 383. You can see its page here: https://fleursdeviv.com/product/fdv-pure-passion-383/

First Daylily 2017

first daylily bloom of 2017

We have liftoff!

first daylily bloom of 2017This is our first daylily bloom of the 2017 season! It may be a “common” yellow daylily but it has great significance to us, since it marks the beginning of this season.

We have been very busy recently. I am still in the process of inputting all the data and photos of our plants into the website & catalog.

Also, we have been mulching all the beds (both daylily and others). It is a lot of work but we expect great returns in the form of BEAUTIFUL blooms!

Consider adding your email address to our “Subscribe” form on the front page. That way, you will get an email notice when we post new articles or have specials, etc.

Until next time,

Ray

Opening Soon!

picoteePlease bear with us as we populate this site with all the beautiful daylily plants that we will be selling. This process is manual and takes a LOT of time.

I am hoping to open for business around the 1st of May, 2017. It may be a little sooner – or a bit later.

In the mean time, have a look around and leave us a comment. It will encourage us to “hurry up” a bit.  🙂

Also, we are replacing the American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) stock images with images of OUR blooms. They are in higher definition and are much prettier (no AHS watermark on our photos). Hope you enjoy them. Each day, we will have more and more photos on display.

Although the information we have posted about individual plants is correct, the prices and other sales and shipping information will likely be different when the catalog is finished.

Our initial focus is on Daylilies. Later, after we are established, we hope to add other types of flowers to our catalog.
